This summer of 2026, the Haute Tarentaise will be transformed into an open-air gallery. The Communauté de Communes de Haute Tarentaise Vanoise is launching a call for entries from amateur and professional photographers alike, with a rare promise: to exhibit their images in the open air along the Voie Verte, between Séez and Villaroger, in the very heart of the region.
Called «Reflets du vivant», this exhibition invites visitors to take a sensitive look at the mountains and their landscapes, but also at how we live in them, how we travel through them and how we share them. More than just a classic photo competition, the project takes an almost intimate approach to the area. It's about the link, the community, the relationship between people and their environment.
A personal look at the Haute Tarentaise
The photographs submitted must have been taken in the Haute Tarentaise Community of Communes, which comprises eight communes. The theme is deliberately open-ended. The aim is not so much to produce a postcard image as to tell the story of an experience, a feeling, a way of living in or exploring the mountains.
The final selection will give rise to an open-air photographic exhibition, accessible free of charge, set up along the Voie Verte. An artistic journey designed as much for local residents as for summer visitors, offering a continuous visual immersion between villages, rivers and Alpine landscapes.
An exhibition for all to see
By choosing the Voie Verte as their backdrop, the organisers are opting for a form of culture that is accessible, outside the walls, and as close as possible to the living world. The works will be on view throughout the summer, integrated into the daily lives of walkers, cyclists and hikers, in a direct dialogue with the places photographed.
The exhibition will be held in July and August 2026, a busy tourist season, giving real exposure to the selected photographers.
