In April 2027, the station in Haute-Tarentaise will host the first edition of the White West Festival, with the ambition of bringing an American West scent to the summits. Ski jumping, entertainment, projections, competitions and themed evenings are announced, up to a big country dance.

In April, the station will launch the White West Festival, presented as one of the major new events of the 2026-2027 season. During the event, the Alpine world must make ample use of Western-style codes, with the idea of temporarily transforming the venues into a real Wild West village.
From ski jumping to the big country dance
The programming must fully capitalize on the theme of immersion. Several events are announced, as well as screenings and various competitions.
Among the highlights will also be ski joring, an ancient practice that combines skiing and horseback riding: the skier is pulled by a horse on the snow. This discipline is particularly well suited to the universe chosen for this first edition.
In the evening, the atmosphere will shift towards special evenings. With a grand finale announced, a large country dance will extend the experience in an atmosphere inspired by American Western celebrations.
A novelty to end the season
The White West Festival will take place in April, a month that has already been planned as a festive period in La Rosière. For its final week of opening, the destination also offers yoga and Pilates sessions, sports activities, moments dedicated to wellbeing, as well as dances and live concerts.
With this new event, La Rosière is aiming to create an unusual atmosphere in the Alps to mark the end of winter. A meeting between snow, Western culture and festive activities, the detailed program of which is yet to be announced.
