Tignes (Alpes du Nord) - Paris may be 700 kilometres from Tignes, but the Savoyard resort is still a key stop-off point in the Olympic preparations of many champions who are obsessed with maximising their chances of winning a historic medal at this summer's Olympic Games on home soil.

For example, you may be lucky enough to come across the French athletics, handball or cycling teams during your stay. Or during your holiday, Tignes is breathtaking scenery at an altitude of 2100 metres, and a whole host of activities - sporting, relaxing and sensational. We tell you all about it.

    What's new

We've chosen to introduce you to a useful new feature: the "My Tignes" multi-activity pass. It's the key to a whole host of sporting activities during your stay in Tignes. Among them: rifle shooting, tennis, mini-golf, water sports centre, Bike Park... Also, from this summer, all MyTignes passes (4 packages) include unlimited access to the Grande Motte funicular.
