Massif de la Chartreuse – What if true luxury meant slowing down? Nestled between the shores of Lake Aiguebelette, its forests, and its hills, the massif has always cultivated an art of rejuvenation based on nature and simplicity. With summer approaching, several new addresses and experiences are enriching this promise.
On the heights of Novalaise, with a view of Lake Aiguebelette, Women's Essence This offers an experience that is still rare in the massif: a refuge entirely dedicated to women. Coline, the host, has imagined this sanctuary for slowing down, breathing, and reconnecting with oneself.
The programme includes bespoke rituals – yoga, mindful walking, Abhyanga-inspired massages, meditation, creative workshops, and sharing circles. The signature package, the «Recharge» Retreat, combines an overnight stay and two profound rituals, for individuals or couples, with the option to add a gourmet organic and local interlude.

The 65 m² gîte, with its two bedrooms, panoramic terrace, and seasonal swimming pool – soon to be complemented by a Nordic hot tub – can also be privatised entirely independently. Another approach to rejuvenation, this time more therapeutic, is to be found on the side of ValOmbre.
In the heart of the Chartreuse region, in a fully renovated Carthusian house with a table d'hôtes and spa area, this five-day immersive stay is aimed at people affected by burnout, in the recovery or professional transition phase.
Designed with Corinne Degroote, a certified ICF professional coach, the programme focuses on movement, fresh air and the calming power of the landscape: five group workshops, individual coaching, body treatments, yoga, meditation, a writing workshop and mindful walks.
Gourmandise, tribe and by the water
The Epicureans, for their part, will set up camp in Dullin, a few kilometres from Aiguebelette lake.
L'The Four Seasons Hotel, Three stars installed in the same establishment as the eponymous gourmet restaurant, it combines a dozen bright rooms and a table that showcases refined French cuisine, prepared with local and seasonal products.
The bar, lounge and terrace invite you to extend your evening after dinner. For gatherings with extended family or friends, head to Les Échelles, between Savoie and Isère.
La Maison Stendhal, A new gîte in the heart of the village, a stone's throw from shops, markets and the Rivièr’Alp leisure centre, can accommodate up to 15 people for complete privatisation. Two separate gîtes – sleeping 11 and 4 – and private rooms available for nightly stays complete the offering for smaller groups and travelling visitors.
Finally, in Lépin-le-Lac, Huttopia opens Domaine du Lac, a unique destination on the border between hotel and campsite.
Around the Maison Ronde, the town’s iconic building housing 13 hotel rooms, 71 accommodations – canvas and wooden tents and fully equipped chalets – are scattered within a privileged natural setting, with exclusive access to the lake and a private beach. A nature retreat, quite literally with your feet in the water.
