Wednesday 12 August, all eyes will turn to the skies. To celebrate the solar eclipse in an exceptional setting, Tignes organise an extraordinary evening out at a restaurant Le Panoramic, because at an altitude of 3,032 metres and accessible by funicular railway. The resort thus offers the highest accessible viewing point in France to admire the phenomenon, at the foot of the Grande Motte glacier.
Against the backdrop of a unique panorama of the French and Italian Alps, nearly 400 participants are expected for this gathering combining science, gastronomy and contemplation.

The meeting is scheduled for 17:45 at the foot of the funicular railway, in Tignes Val Claret, before the ascent to Le Panoramic. The descent will then take place between 20:45 and 21:45. Just one piece of advice: bring warm clothing, as altitude demands it.
