True to its image of elegance and prestige, Megève is gearing up for a season packed with cultural, sporting and festive events. From December to March, the Savoyard resort will be staging a series of major events to mark the winter season.
Christmas tree lighting - 6 December 2025
A long-awaited tradition for over 15 years, the lighting of the majestic Christmas tree will once again take pride of place in the village square.
Designed in collaboration with the Parisian jewellery house Messika, it rises to a height of 20 metres and is adorned with almost 270 small natural fir trees. Every evening, the lights will create a magical setting, combining Alpine tradition and contemporary creativity.
L'Élégance a du Coeur - 31 January and 1 February 2026
Formerly known as 'L'Élégance', the motoring event is now focusing on a noble cause: supporting sick children.
Organised by the Automobile Club de Megève and the Rallye du Cœur Lyon, the exceptional cars will parade through the streets of the village. A Concours d'élégance, entertainment, an auction and a friendly ski race will round off this weekend of solidarity, with all proceeds going towards research into paediatric cancers.
Back to Back - 20 to 22 March 2026
Megève is transformed into a freestyle playground with this unique festival combining skiing, snowboarding, music and urban culture. Free (excluding indoor parties) and accessible with a symbolic day pass, the event offers spectacular modules: an alternative mogul ski race, knuckle and wallride contests, and the return of WindShut with an emblematic rider. A big party will be held at the Palais on Friday evening.
Festival Classiquicime - 26 to 29 March 2026
Following its initial success, Classiquicime is back with the ambition of establishing itself as a major event on the Alpine cultural scene.
On the programme: Vivaldi's Four Seasons revisited in a hip-hop version, a piano night, a Russian night with Peter and the Wolf told by Alex Vizorek, and baroque concerts at the end of the day. New for 2026: free open-air concerts and performances at altitude, to take classical music beyond the concert halls.
