Flagship of the Oisans region, Les 2 Alpes The summer season is extended from June 13th to August 30th, 2026, with a deliberate feature of almost continuous activity since spring. Between high-altitude skiing, mountain biking, trail running, and new experiences, the resort is banking on a non-stop model and an expanded offering for all audiences.
In Les 2 Alpes, summer doesn't really begin in July anymore. From May onwards, the resort enters a hybrid period where snow and the first dry trails coexist. Higher up, the glacier remains skiable, while further down, the terraces reopen and bikes gradually replace skis.
This operating model, now claimed, is based on a simple principle. To offer a mountain open continuously, without a break between seasons. An organisation made possible by an area culminating at 3600 metres and by the operation of the Jandri cable car, which ensures the link to the summits in less than 20 minutes.
A station open well before summer
The ski season extends well beyond the typical Alpine calendar. From May 4th, the resort enters a so-called “non-stop” phase, with skiing available to the general public until the end of May, and then reserved for athletes until early July. In parallel, the first mountain bike trails will gradually open on weekends, particularly in the Vallée Blanche and Venosc sectors.

This overlap of activities is one of the destination's hallmarks. It's possible to ski on the glacier in the morning, then head back down for a hike or a mountain bike ride in the afternoon. This setup, still rare in Europe, attracts both seasoned athletes and holidaymakers looking for a more flexible stay.
An XXL playground for outdoor sports
In the summer, Les 2 Alpes switches to a very sporty model. The bike park remains one of the pillars of the offering, with 138 kilometres of marked trails and nearly 2300 metres of vertical drop on certain descents. The resort is structured around several sectors, from beginner to expert level, with signage modelled on that for skiing.

The resort also confirms its focus on trail running. Around fifteen routes are offered, from short formats of a few kilometres to more challenging tracks exceeding 20 kilometres. The routes take in the terrain of the Oisans region and the surroundings of the Écrins National Park, with technical profiles that regularly attract elite athletes.
In addition, there are more accessible activities. Hiking, via ferrata, paragliding, rafting and paddleboarding on the Chambon lake complete the offering. At the resort, facilities remain plentiful, with a swimming pool, pump track, sports fields and areas dedicated to families.
New features to diversify uses
Among the developments for summer 2026, the resort is introducing new activities designed to attract a wider audience. Electric all-terrain scooters will be available on marked routes, with supervision provided by qualified instructors. The activity is offered from 13 June to 30 August and aligns with sustainable mobility principles.
Another development sees the resort strengthening its family-friendly positioning with fun trails and supervised programmes for children, notably the “Funs stages” which combine several disciplines over a week.
The offering continues to be structured around accessible high-altitude experiences. At 3,400 metres, guided glacier hikes allow visitors to discover the high mountain environment, with easy access via ski lifts.
A summer punctuated by major events
The summer season is also organised around a busy calendar. From June, the Mountain of Hell brings together over 1400 riders for a mass descent from the glacier. The event remains one of the highlights of mountain biking in Europe.
At the end of June, the French Downhill Cup takes over, before the Urban DH in July, a race organised right in the heart of the resort. Other events complete the season, such as the Girls Shredding Days or the DH Kids Cup in August.

On the trail running side, several formats are offered throughout the summer, including the Défi de la Muzelle and the Tour des 6 Vallées, with courses reaching up to 170 kilometres and 10,000 metres of elevation gain.
Between competitions and public events, the resort maintains continuous, non-stop activity until the end of August.
