The pistes will come back to life sooner than expected at Gets. From 22 May, the Haute-Savoie resort will launch several pre-opening weekends for its bikepark, giving riders the chance to get back on track, hit the berms and trails before the full summer season opens.
In the Portes du Soleil, the event has become a must-attend for downhill and enduro mountain biking enthusiasts.
This year, the Chavannes sector will gradually open over four successive weekends, from 22 to 25 May, then from 29 to 31 May, from 5 to 7 June and finally from 12 to 14 June.
The continuous opening of the Les Gets bikepark, on the Chavannes and Mont Chéry slopes, is scheduled for June 19th.
Coffee, croissants and first tracks in the dust
The first weekend will be marked by the event «Time2Ride», organised on Saturday 23 May at the foot of the Chavannes cable car. From 9 am, riders will be welcomed with a coffee and croissant, in a spirit of getting back to it that often feels like a real reunion after winter.
The CUBE brand, a partner of the resort, will be showcasing its latest mountain bike models. A social ride is also planned for 11 am with several brand ambassadors. Competitions will punctuate the morning, with Les Gets 2026 summer passes and various goodies up for grabs.
Beyond this soft opening, the resort above all confirms its ambition to remain one of the major destinations for alpine mountain biking. Every summer, Les Gets attracts both experienced riders and families keen to discover the purpose-built trails nestled in the heart of the Haute-Savoie forests.
A season already packed with cycling
The summer of 2026 is set to be particularly busy for the resort. The Pass'Portes du Soleil will kick off the major gatherings season from June 26th to 28th, before the Cycling Grand Prix and the DH Kids Cup on July 4th and 5th.
The cycling week will then take over from July 20th to 24th, before the major Mountain Bike World Cup event, scheduled from August 20th to 23rd, featuring downhill and cross-country races. This event is expected once again to attract thousands of enthusiasts to the streets and trails of Les Gets.
