Since 2009, Courchevel transforms its ski area into a an open-air museum, A dialogue between the eternal snows and contemporary art. The L'Art au Sommet event, born of the collaboration between the resort and Galeries Bartoux, returns for a remarkable 2025-2026 edition, under the banner of humanity, love and the elevation of souls.
With two major artists, Andrea Roggi and Bruno Catalano, art is once again taking to the skies, literally. Their works, delicately hoisted into the air, stand at the top of the slopes like poetic sentinels watching over the mountain.
An open-air gallery born of a daring gamble
The idea behind L'Art au Sommet was a crazy one: to install monumental works of art in the heart of the mountains, to be seen by those who glide, walk or stroll through the streets of Courchevel. It was a risky gamble. It has become an international success.
Over the years, this unique format has been home to exceptional works by Dalí, Folon, Jiménez Deredia, Leo Caillard and Lorenzo Quinn. Art now mingles with the tracks of skis, the landscape and the hushed silence after a snowfall. Here, the exhibition is no longer contemplated, but experienced.
when the Trees of Life take root at altitude
For the first time, Andrea Roggi's iconic Trees of Life are rising from the summits of Courchevel. The sculpted bronze branches intertwine, stretch out, seek out the light... A work that seems to be in dialogue with the sky, as if the mountain itself were becoming an immense tree.
Roggi's work can be seen at several key points:
- Terre d'Amour - Vizelle summit (2,659 m)
- Srngar - Biollay summit (2,230 m)
- Souffle d'Amour - 9 rue de l'Église
- Élan Infini & Le Baiser Devient Lumière - Place du Tremplin
- Il Potere dell'Amore - Snow front

With their mystical dimension, these sculptures are an extension of the natural verticality of the Alps.
the Voyageurs return to the Alps
Bruno Catalano's famous Voyageurs, whose incomplete silhouettes reveal a striking emptiness, are back in Courchevel. The cold, white light, stone façades and snow-covered slopes amplify their poetic power.

The sculpted openings, the artist's signature, create windows onto the landscape. The void becomes a passageway, a breathing space, a place of introspection.
Catalano's five works will be exhibited in the villages:
- Courchevel Moriond - Place du Bachal («Van Gogh»)
- Courchevel Village - Placette Front de Neige («Hubert III»)
- Courchevel Le Praz - Parvis de l'Alpinium («Kahdine»)
- Courchevel La Tania - Placette Salle de Spectacle («Benoît»)
Together, the Travellers form an Ariadne's thread that leads to Roggi's Trees of Life, creating a symbolic narrative throughout the station.
