With the arrival of summer, Serre Chevalier Valley Briançon is gearing up for an exciting season. Ski lifts opening, festivals, sporting competitions, gourmet events: here's everything you don't want to miss this summer.

The high-altitude ski area ready to welcome you
From 21 June, hikers, mountain bikers and other mountain enthusiasts will once again be able to access the resort via the ski lifts:
- 21 June opening of the Casse du Bœuf chairlift in Villeneuve (Bike Park)
- 28 June opening of the Ratier gondola lift and the Combes and Grand Serre chairlifts at Chantemerle (access to the zip line, mountain kart and downhill scooters)
- 5 July opening of the Prorel gondola lift in Briançon and the Bachas chairlift in Monêtier-les-Bains
Closure of the entire domain on 31 August.

Cycling: a summer of legendary mountain passes
Cyclists will have several opportunities to tackle the legendary Alpine climbs:
- 1 and 16 July, 13 August Col du Granon reserved for cyclists
- 30 June, 17 July, 5 August Col du Galibier reserved
- 30 June to 4 July Tour of the Grands Cols, with a week dedicated to the Galibier, Granon, Échelle, Izoard and Agnel passes
Cultural and festive highlights
- 24 May : Beer Festival in Briançon, under the banner of twinning with Rosenheim
- 27 to 29 June : Medieval Festival in the Cité Vauban, with shows and period craftsmen
- 25 July to 14 August : Musical "Oh! La Fontaine! in the ramparts of Briançon, a great family show
- 7 to 9 August : Arty Colors Festival Parc de la Schappe (concerts by Danakil, Deluxe, Julien Granel...)
- 10 to 17 August : Swing in the Mountains in Monêtier-les-Bains (swing, soul, blues, gospel)
- 19 to 22 August : Summer Jazz Festival throughout the valley

Sport: a challenging summer
- 22 to 24 June : Alps Epicthe cycling race on the Grande Traversée VTT des Hautes-Alpes (mountain bike crossing of the Hautes-Alpes)
- 19 and 20 July : Vauban Mountain Trailand for the first time, two French stages of the Mountain Running World Cup
- 23 July : Carton Race at La Salle-les-Alpes, a crazy cardboard race on the Guisane river
- 26 August Passage de La Vuelta through the valley, a first!
- 26 to 28 August : Haute Routethe prestigious amateur cycling race between Megève, Serre Chevalier and Cuneo
- 6 and 7 September : Serre Che Trailthree trail routes in the heart of the Cerces massif
