À Valmorel, Spring does not mean a slowdown. Quite the contrary, in fact. The Savoyard resort is transforming the end of the season into a real playground, with sunny skiing, spectacular sporting events and a festive atmosphere in the heart of the village.
On the Grand Domaine, there's still plenty of snow in March. With high altitude sectors and wide open spaces, skiers can enjoy an accessible and pleasant area, far from the crowds of the school holidays. But at Valmorel, the end of the season isn't just about skiing.
The Spartan Race kicks off the festivities
On 21 and 22 March, the resort will be hosting the Winter Spartan Race, which has become a regular winter event. The principle: an obstacle race on snow, with several formats to suit all abilities.

From the short 5km course to a version over 20km, participants take on a series of climbs, crossings and physical challenges in an Alpine setting. On the snow front, the atmosphere is more relaxed. Spectators, holidaymakers and participants come together to watch the races and enjoy a lively weekend.
A week of skiing with friends
From 22 to 28 March, it's Marsiens Week. The aim is to offer affordable deals for group skiing, with packages including ski passes and lessons.
At the same time, the resort comes alive with concerts, entertainment and several highlights. These include the Alp'in Fest, with music on the slopes and in the village, and Valmorel la Rebelle, a freestyle event followed by a festive evening.
Offers to extend your stay
From 23 March, Grand Domaine ski passes will offer discounts of up to 20 % for stays of three days or more. A number of accommodation operators are also offering discounts on stays, particularly in the last week of March.
The season ends with the Easter weekend, from 3 to 6 April. To mark the occasion, ski passes are being offered with discounts of up to 35 % over several days, a way of attracting the last skiers before the season closes.
