Sports fans, families, the curious, music lovers or chess enthusiasts: there's something for everyone in a dense, rhythmic and resolutely eclectic programme.
A round-up of the events that will keep the heart of the resort beating from June to August 2025.
From 5 to 11 July: chess takes to the skies
Perched at an altitude of 2,000 metres, almost 500 players from 25 countries will gather at Plagne Soleil for the 5th edition of the International Chess Festival.
Approved by FIDE, the event brings together professionals and amateurs in a studious yet friendly atmosphere.
Slow games, blitz, simultaneous games with a Grand Master, entertainment around a giant game... beginners are also welcome. With €30,000 in prize money, the tournament is a must in the chess calendar.
From 5 to 9 July: Les Estivales Sauvages
At the Versants d'Aime leisure park, Les Estivales Sauvages offers a breath of fresh air with circus acts, concerts, DJ sets and workshops for young and old.
A multi-disciplinary programme that invites you to discover the mountains in a different, relaxed way.
From 11 to 13 July: off-road cycling with Super8
One of the most eagerly-awaited events for mountain bikers, the Super8 is back for its 5th edition. Eight events will be on the programme, with something for everyone. The main event?

The Double8, a real technical challenge between 23 and 79 km depending on the loops chosen. Also on the menu: FFC-certified enduro for youngsters, supervised randos and children's races. A celebration of cycling in all its forms.
20 July: L'Étape du Tour
Nothing less than 16,000 cyclists are expected to take part in this legendary cyclosportive, run under the exact conditions of a stage in the Tour de France, with roads closed to traffic.

It's an opportunity for enthusiasts from all over the world to slip into the shoes of the pros for a day, on the official route of the Grande Boucle.
25 July: the Tour de France makes its grand return
After a 23-year absence, La Plagne is back in the Tour de France. The finish of one of the last mountain stages will take place in Plagne Villages, at the end of a breathtaking ascent marked by 24 bends from Albertville. A historic moment in store for fans of the Petite Reine.
From 31 July to 2 August: the 6000D, pioneer of high-altitude trail running
This is La Plagne's flagship summer event. For 35 years, the 6000D has been attracting crowds to the mountain trails. Nine races are scheduled for this anniversary edition, which promises to be more popular than ever.
From children to ultra-trailers, the event brings together all profiles in a spirit of mountain festivity. With sections on the glacier at 3,000 m and finishes in the heart of villages, it's a festival of trail running, effort... and panoramic views.

Culture in the mountains
Throughout the summer, La Plagne is rolling out "Culture à la Carte", an open-air arts season.
Nearly 140 cultural events will be staged throughout the year, including concerts, live performances, open-air cinema screenings, guided walks and astronomy. All of which will add a sensitive touch to the pure air of the summits.
