Since 2009, Courchevel and Galeries Bartoux have joined forces to transform the resort into a showcase for monumental art. This season, the tradition continues with the 2024-2025 edition of Art au Sommet, featuring the visionary talent of neo-antique sculptor Léo Caillard.
From 6 December 2024 to 21 April 2025, Courchevel will be adorned with the bold creations of Léo Caillard. Inspired by science and philosophy, the artist explores the fragility of Alpine glaciers in a series of monumental sculptures entitled Liquid.

These works, installed on mountain tops, combine poetry and ecological urgency, evoking the melting of eternal snow and the need to preserve our landscapes for future generations.
The official opening will take place on 23 January 2025 at 6pm, in front of the sculpture. Liquid Hera at 9 rue de l'Église, in the presence of the artist and the Mayor of Courchevel, Jean-Yves Pachod. This is a unique opportunity to meet Léo Caillard and discover his artistic approach, which subtly brings together past and present.
Sculptures and committed messages
Léo Caillard, known for his works combining humour and anachronism, turns traditional aesthetic codes on their head.

With his series LiquidIn his work, he breathes new life into marble and resin, materials that are often perceived as static, transforming them into symbols of movement and metamorphosis. Each sculpture seems to capture the moment when matter melts and recreates itself, offering a striking parallel with threatened glaciers.

At the Espace Diamant, the bas-reliefs Hercules Face and Venus Face enrich the exhibition. These pieces create a link between the snowy peaks and the Bartoux gallery, where Caillard is unveiling a series of more intimate works.
To deepen this artistic immersion, guided tours are offered every Thursday in winter by the Fondation pour l'Action Culturelle Internationale en Montagne (FACIM). These excursions allow you to fully appreciate the ecological and aesthetic message of the exhibition.
