New products not to be missed
The new feature of the 2023/2024 winter season is undoubtedly the brand new "Gypaète" play trail on Bellevarde, featuring a scenography based on local wildlife and natural materials, in the same vein as the Lost Village.
It is inspired by land art. There are several areas for children to explore: a ski tunnel dressed as a lammergeier, a strong and meaningful entrance arch, a giant feather that can be activated as a xylophone, and an arch with a tapping game.

It's the ideal playground for good and very good skiers, who will be able to test themselves against the slopes used by the best, such as the fearsome Face de BellevardeThe Albertville ski area has been the playground for many major events, including the 1992 Albertville Olympic Games, the 2009 World Ski Championships and the Critérium de la Première Neige, where the world's best skiers gather every year.

Two training areas are available at the Manchet sports park: one for the 'long game' with 19 posts on mats, 5 of which are covered, and one for the 'short game' on grass up to 40 metres away.

In the shoes of Tarzan for a moment
Children aged 4 and over, teenagers and adults, come and test your balance on the "Val Aventure" tree climbing course in the heart of the Forêt du Rogoney. Comprising zip-lines, Nepalese bridges, lianas and other modules, it's sure to delight adventure and challenge seekers.

It's a relaxation experience straight from Finland... Ice Floating allows you to totally reconnect with nature and enjoy a unique moment of wellbeing in a rejuvenating landscape. It involves lying down in a frozen lake, wearing a wetsuit for an extraordinary moment of relaxation.

How do I get to Val d'Isère?
Val d'Isère is located in the Vanoise massif, in the Haute-Tarentaise region of Savoie (Auvergne Rhône-Alpes). There are several ways to get there:
- By plane
There are four airports close to Val d'Isère: Lyon Saint-Exupéry, Chambéry, Geneva and Grenoble. To get to Val d'Isère from the airports, you can take a shuttle bus, hire a car or arrange a transfer via the heliport.
- By train or bus
Daily trains, TGVs, Eurostars and Thalys arrive in Bourg Saint Maurice every day (the nearest station to Val d'Isère is 35 minutes away). For the transfer to Val d'Isère, take a taxi or bus.
- By bus
Bus transport is provided by regular coach services departing from Bourg-Saint-Maurice, Chambéry or Geneva, Lyon or Grenoble airports.
- Per car
From Chambéry towards Albertville, take the 2x2 lane road to Moûtiers, then the N90 to Bourg-St-Maurice and finally the D902 to Tignes. Be careful: the GPS may take you over the Petit Saint Bernard or Iseran passes.
These passes are closed in winter! Park your car in one of the car parks near your accommodation and take the free shuttle bus! Car parks are chargeable in winter and free in summer.
Val d'Isère, in brief
The Savoyard ski resort, ideally situated close to the Italian border, is open from 21 December 2023 to 05 May 2024.
