Briançon (Serre Chevalier) - When the verses of La Fontaine resonate between the old stones of the Cité Vauban, a whole area of heritage comes to life, sublimated by the magic of the stage. From 25 July to 14 August 2025, the ramparts of the Porte d'Embrun will host fifteen exceptional performances of the musical comedy Oh! La Fontaine. A show for all ages that has become an essential part of the Hautes-Alpes summer cultural scene.

Each evening, spectators are invited to take their seats at the foot of the UNESCO-listed ramparts. In front of them, an imposing stage will come to life, populated by 28 artists: singers, actors, dancers, musicians and circus performers.
They all come together to breathe new life and substance into La Fontaine's Fables, in an accessible and funny production designed to appeal to both children and their parents.
Record attendance expected
Thanks to meticulous video mapping and a tailor-made lighting design, the famous fables will take on a new dimension. The show is brought to life by a women's choir, the main theme of the show, adding lyrical power and emotion to the whole.
In this setting steeped in history, the "Tous en scène" troupe has found its home. After taking over the Fort des Têtes in the past, the troupe has now moved into the grounds of the the Cité Vaubangiving the fortified town a breath of fresh air.
And the success continues: with two extra dates on the programme this year and an increase in the number of grandstands, attendance is set to exceed the already remarkable figures for 2024 (+35 %).
Open to all
Among the highlights, the performance on Monday 11 August will feature an audio description designed for the visually impaired or blind.
Supported by the Alpes Regards association, this initiative includes an immersive backstage tour starting at 8.15pm, followed by a live description of the show via individual headphones. It's a great way to bring the stage to life for as many people as possible, without detracting from its intensity.
Reservations for this evening are limited to a maximum of eight people and must be made by 8 August with Michel Drouet (06 52 45 65 11), at the same time as buying the classic ticket.
