Val d'Isère has just been named Europe's best ski resort by readers of the prestigious magazine Condé Nast Travelleras part of the Readers' Choice Awards 2025.

A world ski icon
Nestling at an altitude of 1,850 metres, Val d'Isère is more than just a legendary ski resort: it's an art of mountain living.
Linked to Tignes to form one of the largest ski areas in Europe - Domaine Tignes-Val d'Isère - the resort offers 300 kilometres of pistes, guaranteed snow from November to May and spectacular views of the Vanoise peaks.
But if the magic works, it's also thanks to the village atmosphere, its stone and wood chalets, its high-altitude gastronomy and its refined après-ski.
From the Folie Douce to the aquasportive centre, from designer boutiques to Michelin-starred restaurants, everything contributes to making Val d'Isère an international benchmark, as elegant as it is authentic.
