1. Quality snow and ideal conditions
Skiing in March and April means enjoying soft, pleasant snow under often clear skies. The milder temperatures make for a smoother ride, ideal for beginners who want to progress without stress, but also for seasoned skiers who can ski downhill after downhill without the rigours of winter temperatures.
The day is getting longer, and with 75 % of pistes above 2100 metres, the snow is still there. What's more, some resorts close as early as mid-March, leaving the pistes much less crowded and guaranteeing optimum skiing pleasure.
2. A wide range of activities at altitude
Les 2 Alpes isn't just about skiing! The resort offers a complete high-altitude experience with breathtaking panoramas. At 3400 metres, the Belvédère des Écrins offers breathtaking views, while the ice grotto plunges visitors into a fairytale world sculpted by time.
For thrill-seekers, the ascent of the Dôme de la Lauze to 3,600 metres, supervised by the Bureau des Guides, is an unforgettable experience. Those who prefer the adrenalin of the air can take to the skies in a paraglider over the Écrins National Park and the Vénéon valley.
3. A festive spring and exclusive events
March and April also mark the start of the spring festivities in Les 2 Alpes. Concerts, competitions and original events punctuate the end of the season. Among the highlights not to be missed:
- The Black Garden Party (12 and 13 April): the must-attend event for alpine mountain bikers who want to inaugurate the legendary trails of the Venosc piste and the Black Garden.
- Entertainment in the resort: open-air concerts, festive after-ski and gastronomic events punctuate skiers' days and evenings.

From mid-April, skiing coexists with the first descents on an alpine mountain bike. Experts in the discipline can enjoy the legendary trails of the Venosc piste and the Black Garden, courses prized for their technical nature and thrills.
To mark the transition from winter to summer, the "Black Garden Party" event promises two days of riding and adrenalin on 12 and 13 April. Mountain biking is then open until 4 May, before gradually resuming with spring sessions on the weekends of May and June, before opening continuously from 14 June to 31 August 2025.
