As part of the strategy pursued since Stéphane Valeri took office, the Monte-Carlo Group Société des Bains de Mer (SBM) completed the acquisition of the Palace des Neiges in Courchevel 1850 on Tuesday 3 October.
It was in the prestigious Savoyard resort, in the heart of the Jardin Alpin district, one of the leading players in the luxury hotel sector, that this strategy first came to fruition with the acquisition of the 'Palace des Neiges'.
The first objective is to carry out a major renovation to bring to life all the know-how and expertise of the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer Group.
To provide the best possible support for this specific acquisition in the mountains, SBM approached the Vallat group with a shared desire to develop a hotel project of excellence.
The Palace des Neiges is getting a makeover
This reputable partner has in-depth knowledge of the property market in the Northern Alps, particularly in the Courchevel valley, where the family of Mr Joffray Vallat, Chairman of the eponymous group, has been established for decades.
The Palace des Neiges will continue to be operated by the Alp'Azur group during the 2023/2024 winter season. Restructuring work will begin in April 2024.
Why is property still a safe bet in the mountains?
"It's a great source of satisfaction for our group to succeed for the first time in its history in finalising an international hotel acquisition project, and to do so alongside some of the biggest names in luxury hotels in the Alps.said Stéphane Valeri in a press release.
The new, restructured site will provide us with a new source of growth, with complementary seasonal human resources.
