The winter season promises to be rich and intense at Val d'Isère. From top-level sporting competitions to cultural festivals and festive occasions, the resort offers a varied calendar that will accompany skiers from the first to the last snowflake.

Season launch
On 29 and 30 November 2025, the ski area opens its doors with Premières Traces, a weekend of discovery and conviviality.

For €156 per person, the package includes two nights' accommodation, a 2-day ski pass, access to the Ski Force Winter Tour equipment tests and a host of activities at the Aquasportif Centre. A stylish way to start the season, combining sport and relaxation.
Critérium de la Première Neige
The World Cup comes to Val d'Isère
From 12 to 21 December 2025, the resort will live to the rhythm of the Critérium de la Première Neige, one of the highlights of the FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup.
The men will compete in the giant (December 13) and slalom (December 14) events, while the women will take part in the downhill (December 20) and super-G (December 21). A top-class sporting spectacle that attracts thousands of spectators every year.
Classicaval
When music meets the mountains
In January and March, the church of Saint-Bernard in Menthon will be resounding with the most beautiful classical sounds.
Classicaval, from 12 to 15 January and again from 9 to 12 March 2026, will be staging its 32ᵉ edition with two opuses combining musical virtuosity and an intimate atmosphere. A festival that has become a must for music lovers and lovers of Alpine emotions.
Adventure & Discovery Film Festival
A different view of the world
From 13 to 16 April 2026, Val d'Isère will be hosting the 27ᵉ edition of the Adventure & Discovery Film Festival. Over four days, 11 screenings will be offered at the Convention Centre, in the cinema and outdoors.
Stories told by adventurers and explorers, often accompanied by debates and meetings. A unique event, chaired again this year by travel writer Sylvain Tesson.
Ski & Chill
Festive closing in May
The season will come to an end on 3 May 2026, but not without one final highlight: Ski & Chill. For three weeks, the resort will be offering a cultural and festive programme.
With concerts, DJ sets, fun competitions like the Val'athlon, not forgetting friendly entertainment in the mountain bars and restaurants. The perfect opportunity to bid farewell to winter on a festive note.
