At an altitude of 2,100 metres, in the heart of the Tignes Val Claret, A new facility arrives. On Friday 19 December, the INDIGO group inaugurated the Tufs car park, billed as the highest car park in Europe. It's a major project, designed to meet both the constraints of the high mountains and the changing needs of transport in the resort.
Located at the foot of the pistes, the Tufs car park has 661 spaces spread over three levels. Fourteen months of work were needed, spread over two off-season years, to keep the ski area running smoothly.
As soon as it opened, it stood out for its level of equipment, with 120 charging points for electric vehicles, representing an increase of almost 170 % in the number of charging points available at the station.
A facility integrated into the life of the resort
Set against the slope over a length of 185 metres, the car park has been designed as a multifunctional space, interacting directly with the resort. Its roof is accessible to snow groomers, facilitating daily maintenance of the ski area.
It can also be used by skiers returning from the slopes and by pedestrians, summer and winter alike. During the summer months, part of the roof is even pedestrianised, extending the soft traffic areas at the foot of the summits.
The project was carried out by INDIGO between 2024 and 2025, with AIA Architectes as project manager and Léon Grosse as contractor. The worksite had to deal with the specific requirements of the high mountains, including harsh climatic conditions, complex logistical access and the need to guarantee safety.
A strong signal in favour of low-carbon mobility
Located in an avalanche corridor, the structure was designed to withstand the avalanche, with architecture that follows the natural slope and a buried rear façade to limit its impact on the landscape.
So far, it has 74 charging points, Tignes is changing scale with this new facility, making it one of the best-equipped resorts in the Alps for electromobilists.

It's a conscious choice at a time when the transition to more fuel-efficient modes of transport is also progressing at altitude.
For the municipality, this car park should also improve the experience of visitors and residents, by facilitating parking in the Val Claret sector, one of the resort's busiest areas.
