Val Thorens is once again proving itself to be one of the most innovative resorts in the Alps, unveiling a series of new features this winter which will transform the visitor experience. From state-of-the-art facilities to revamped iconic addresses and new, friendly restaurants, the summit of the 3 Valleys promises a truly exceptional holiday.
A state-of-the-art north-facing gondola lift
The big news on the skiing front is on the slopes, with the opening of the new Face Nord gondola, built by Doppelmayr. Able to accommodate ten passengers, it replaces the old Glacier and Col chairlifts and is part of an overall strategy to optimise traffic flow.

With direct access to the Asters and Face Nord slopes, it becomes a strategic link in the ski area and also facilitates the link to Orelle. Project cost: €15 million.
Another major project is the reopening of the Cime Caron cable car, now equipped with brand new cabins. More emblematic than ever, this symbol of Val Thorens at an altitude of 3,200 metres offers a 360° view of over 1,000 Alpine peaks.
La Folie Douce gets a makeover
A legendary address in Val Thorens, La Folie Douce is undergoing a total renovation. The aim: greater fluidity and comfort for customers and staff.
The flow of traffic has been completely rethought, spaces optimised, and the auditorium given a new dimension, with a 4.75 m high ceiling. A second balcony completes the stage, offering new perspectives on one of the most famous festive venues in the Alps.
Hotel Pashmina celebrates its 10th anniversary
On the hotel front, the emblematic Hotel Pashmina - Le Refuge 5 stars is celebrating its tenth anniversary with a new lease of life.

The spa, which has been completely refurbished, now offers tailor-made facilities, from a Jacuzzi to a Nordic bath, while the restaurant area has been reinvented with a redesigned brunch and a live-cooking area. The establishment aims to reinforce its upmarket positioning while promoting conviviality.
A new convivial address: La Timbale
Finally, in the heart of the resort, a new establishment is making its debut: The Timbaleon the site of the former restaurant Les Clarines.
The brainchild of Bastien and Téo, two local kids on the block, this place combines French-style tapas, fine wines and festive cocktails in a warm atmosphere. A place designed to bring together all generations and offer an authentic landmark for lovers of Val Thorens.
