Situated in the 3 Valleys ski area, Val Thorens is Europe's highest ski resort, with the village at 2,300 metres and its slopes peaking at 3,230 metres.

Tignes
With part of its ski area located on the Grande Motte glacier, Tignes offers skiing almost all year round. The village is at an altitude of 2,100 metres, and the ski area reaches 3,456 metres.

Val d'Isère
Together with Tignes, Val d'Isère forms the Espace Killy, one of the most famous ski areas. Val d'Isère lies at an altitude of 1,850 metres, with slopes up to 3,450 metres.
