In Corsica, several mountain ranges cross the island from north to south. These majestic mountains are a paradise for hikers, with panoramic views over the Mediterranean Sea.
1. Monte Cinto massif
Monte Cinto is the highest peak in Corsica, reaching an altitude of 2,706 metres. This massif is located in the north of the island and offers wild, mountainous landscapes, with numerous peaks, valleys, lakes and rivers.
2. Monte Rotondo massif
Monte Rotondo is another important massif in Corsica, located close to Monte Cinto. It reaches an altitude of 2,622 metres. Like Monte Cinto, this massif is also ideal for hiking and climbing.
3. Monte Renoso massif
Monte Renoso is a massif located in the south-western part of Corsica. Its highest point is 2,352 metres above sea level. The massif is covered in forests and criss-crossed by numerous hiking trails.
4. Monte d'Oro massif
Monte d'Oro is a mountain range in central Corsica. It reaches an altitude of 2,389 metres. The massif is characterised by its rocky peaks and deep valleys.
5. Monte Renoso massif
The Monte Renoso massif is located in the south of Corsica and rises to an altitude of 2,352 metres. It is less well known than other massifs on the island, but offers magnificent scenery and less-frequented hiking trails.
