A brand new snowboarding competition open to amateur snowboarders is about to take place in Serre Chevalier.
The first edition of Redbull Dual Shapes will be held on 27 January on a snow pumptrack built for the occasion on the Pré Chabert snow front.
A total of 48 amateur snowboarders (men and women) are expected to take part in this innovative event, featuring 1 vs 1 duels where participants compete on two lines of mirrored modules, with a central median.
Competitors complete the out-and-back course over two winning runs, with the aim of being the fastest to ring the bell placed on the median and win the heat.
Serre Chevalier, the setting for this spectacular competition
"I wanted an ultra-graphic, aesthetically pleasing structure of modules, in total continuity with Shapes and Reshapes, explains Pierre Vaultierthe two-time Olympic snowboard cross champion and initiator of the competition, who broke the web with his video " Shapes ".

A line as rhythmic as a boardercross start section. It's quite a challenge, since the duel format means that two exactly identical lines 60 m long have to be designed. (so 120 m round trip) that work in both directions and, above all, that are accessible to non-professional riders. So there's really very little room for manoeuvre.
Registration for the event is now open.
