Here are the 5 not-to-be-missed highlights of the month.
1. L'Étincelle Festival (13-15 September)
From Friday 13 to Sunday 15 September, the centre of Bourg-Saint-Maurice plays host to the Étincelle Festival, an open-air musical and cultural event. Admission is free and the programme is packed with concerts and shows. This festival promises to rock the town with a friendly, festive atmosphere. The perfect opportunity to discover local and national artists while enjoying the warm atmosphere of Bourg-Saint-Maurice.
2. The 10th anniversary of the Freeski Academy (21 September)
On Saturday 21 September, the Freeski Academy celebrates its 10th anniversary at the Ferme des Marais, an iconic venue in the town. Starting at 7pm, the evening will kick off with film screenings from 8pm to 9pm, followed by a music session hosted by DJs until 1am. This festive evening is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of freeskiing, a leading discipline in the region, while enjoying a relaxed atmosphere among sports and music enthusiasts.
3. The Petit Saint Bernard Trail (28-29 September)
The Trail du Petit Saint Bernard (TPSB) is an eagerly-awaited high-altitude trail event for mountain runners. Taking place from 28 to 29 September, it offers a range of events from 'Km Vertical' to Ultra-Trail, in the heart of wild and authentic landscapes.

All the races start and finish at Les Chapieux in Bourg-Saint-Maurice. Regarded as one of the most beautiful trails in France, the TPSB attracts runners from all over the world every year, thanks to the technicality and ruggedness of its courses.
4. Last opening of the Les Arcs/Peisey-Vallandry Bike Park (14 and 15 September)
The Bike Park in the Les Arcs/Peisey-Vallandry mountain area, famous for its courses suitable for all levels, will close for the season in mid-September. Take advantage of this last weekend to discover or rediscover the mountain bike trails with a day pass for just €12 (including access to the funicular). It's a great opportunity to fill up on thrills before the winter shutdown!
5. Themed mini-golf
For a more relaxing activity, try the Bourg-Saint-Maurice mini-golf course, located at the Centre Nautique. This 9-hole course is themed around the outdoor activities typical of the region: kayaking, mountain biking, skiing, hiking, paragliding, rafting, climbing, snowboarding and golf. Each hole offers fun challenges linked to these activities, making it a fun time for young and old alike. The mini-golf course is open every day during the Centre Nautique's opening hours.
