This is the big news at the start of the year at Serre Chevalier. On Saturday 7 February, the brand new Spa La Rotonde officially opened its doors at the Grands Bains du Monêtier, in the heart of Le Monêtier-les-Bains.
Inaugurated in mid-January, La Rotonde welcomed its first visitors to kick off the winter holidays. With a clear objective, offer much more than just a place to relax.
Among the flagship installations is an immersive sensory pool equipped with a 12-metre panoramic screen, where images and natural elements accompany relaxation. Another signature feature is the sparkling water pool, which uses micro-bubble technology to stimulate the body deep down.

The course then alternates between hot and cold, with a snowroom maintained at between 2 and 5°C, ideal after the hammam. Lovers of magnificent views will appreciate the panoramic sauna and outdoor jacuzzis overlooking the Alpine peaks, while a natural waterfall at 44°C - fed directly by the village hot spring - invites you to take a contemplative break.
A new showcase of well-being for the valley
A saline area, with Himalayan salt walls, completes the experience thanks to the recognised benefits of halotherapy. Each area has been designed in a sober, hushed style, combining elegant materials, soft lighting and fluid circulation.
The name La Rotonde echoes not only the architecture of the building, but also the spa history of Le Monêtier, known since Roman times for its naturally warm waters. Already a fixture in the valley, the Grands Bains are now taking things a step further with a facility resolutely focused on immersive well-being.

With almost 1,000 m² more dedicated to relaxation, this new spa enhances Serre Chevalier's four-season appeal and is in line with a fundamental trend: to offer something more than just sporting performance in the mountains.
