It's a world first: a board game transformed into an immersive, fun, life-size course in the heart of an Alpine resort. The Domaine des SybellesFrom 2027, the Savoie region will be home to a unique tourism experience inspired by the hit game Trek 12. The aim is to offer a new way of discovering the mountains, accessible all year round, combining sport, contemplation and adventure.
Launched in 2020 by French studio Lumberjacks, the series Trek 12 quickly won over board game fans.
This "roll & write" strategy game plunges players into a world of mountaineering, where each game simulates an ascent. And now the concept is getting real.
The Savoy-based MND group, which specialises in mountain leisure equipment, has just acquired the worldwide licence for the game in the "tourist sites" category.
In partnership with the Domaine des Sybelles, from 2026 they will be launching the construction of 27 themed facilities spread across the six resorts in the area.
A mountain to play on
Over more than 3,000 hectares, visitors will follow a scenic route, designed as a real life-size Trek 12.
Tyroliennes, sensory trails, wooden footbridges, themed paths, a Zen platform, play areas, a vertiginous skywalk and even a giant swing... Each stage will offer a physical and immersive experience, integrated into the mountain's natural setting.

To enhance the immersion experience, a dedicated mobile application will allow you to "unlock" elements of the game as you go along, using QR codes placed on the installations.
And for those who want to extend the experience at home, a game box Trek 12 - Sybelles Special Edition will also be launched, with a design inspired by the famous Aiguilles d'Arves mountain range.
A project designed to last
Most of the structures will be made from wood or bio-sourced materials supplied by local sawmills.
Carried out by MBS, a subsidiary of MND based in Tours-en-Savoie, the project will give priority to short circuits and Alpine labour.
A sustainable, responsible approach that builds on what already exists: hiking trails, mountain bike tracks, Nordic zones, etc. No upheaval, just an enhancement of the area.
With this major project, Les Sybelles is asserting its ambition to become a four-season destination, where people also come in the summer to experience adventure, play with the family and explore the landscapes of the Maurienne in a different way.
