After the heavy snowfalls of the last few days in the Southern Alps, the ski resort of Isola 2000 (Alpes-Maritimes) is currently the one with the most snow in the whole country.
That's rare enough to merit a mention. And yet it is. Isola 2000 is well ahead of resorts in the Northern Alps, such as Val Thorens and Val d'Isère.

"We've had a lot of snowfall over the last ten days. A total of three metres of snow has fallen, which is quite exceptional.Virginie Tumorticchi, Director of the Isola and Isola 2000 Tourist Office, told BFM Nice Côte d'Azur.
Up to 3 metres of snow on the summits
With 3 metres of snow on the summits and 2.35 metres at the bottom of the resort, the entire ski area is currently open.

This will ensure optimum snow quality for all skiers and snowboarders until 14 April, when the resort closes.
