As the winter season draws to a close, ski-touring fans still have two great opportunities to get their skins on and take on new challenges in the mountains. The Diables Bleus at Montchavin - Les Coches on March 22, and the Triface at La Plagne on March 29, promise demanding routes, breathtaking panoramas and a friendly sporting atmosphere.
Les Diables Bleus - Saturday 22 March at Montchavin - Les Coches
This 9ᵉ edition of the famous ski touring race pays tribute to the Chasseurs Alpins of the 7ᵉ battalion, whose former training route it follows.

With a sustained climb and an off-piste descent, particularly in the forest, it attracts an enthusiastic public every year. With just a few days to go to the start, almost 100 participants have already signed up.
Race formats
- Competition course (solo or duo): 1,000 m ascent. Accessible from age 16.
- Discovery trail (solo): 450 m ascent. Accessible from age 13.
Itinerary
- Departure from Les Coches.
- Climb via the Lac Noir piste, pass through Plan Bois, then climb to the Tête des Arpettes for the competition route.
- The discovery trail descends directly from Plan Bois.

Triface - Saturday 29 March at La Plagne
A challenge worthy of the most motivated! For its 3rdᵉ edition, the Triface offers a sunset race across three legendary peaks in the La Plagne area: Grande Rochette, Verdons and Bécoin.

The event adopts a progressive format where participants can choose to stop after each loop or continue on to the 'Finisher' title.
Race formats
- Triface :
- Loop 1: 500 m D+ / 500 m D-
- Loop 2: 1,000 m D+ / 1,000 m D-
- Loop 3: 1,300 m D+ / 1,300 m D- (to achieve "Finisher" status)
- The race can be run as a relay of 3 or as a mixed team.
- Monoface (new for 2025): a dry ascent of 500 m D+ for those who want to discover the discipline without the descent.

- Meet at 5.45pm at the Plagne Centre slalom stadium.
