Nestling in the heart of the Alps, in the 3 Valleys, Saint-Martin-de-Belleville is gradually being transformed into a veritable haven of peace for mountain wellness enthusiasts. Marlene Giacometti, director of the Les Menuires and Saint-Martin-de-Belleville tourist offices, tells us about the ambitious projects that are reinventing the village as a prime destination for those in search of serenity.
From December, Saint-Martin-de-Belleville will offer a major new feature with the opening of the wellness centre La Belle VieA space on a human scale, right in the heart of the village.
This centre, dedicated to relaxation and well-being, is perfectly in keeping with the unspoilt, authentic spirit of the village. "We want to make Sint Maarten the place to be when it comes to wellbeing"., explains Marlene Giacomettiunderlining the resort's move upmarket.
Modern facilities dedicated to well-being
The centre La Belle Vie will house three separate pools: an indoor pool, an outdoor pool accessible in summer only, and a mixed pool, linking the indoor and outdoor pools for a unique experience. "The inauguration will take place before Christmas, just in time for visitors to enjoy the new facilities over the festive period.says the director.

Well-being on Saint-Martin isn't just about infrastructure: the resort will also offer a wide range of specialist treatments. "We have particularly developed our range of wellness treatments, with the ambition of offering unique experiences at altitude".says Marlene Giacometti. The resort is committed to a holistic approach to well-being, combining care for the body and serenity for the mind.
Events to enhance the well-being experience
Saint-Martin-de-Belleville also stands out for its commitment to sustainable development. 80 % of the centre's heating needs will be covered by biomass, a renewable energy source that supports the resort's ecological efforts. And the resort has no intention of stopping there.

From April 2025, the Yogi SkiIn partnership with Les Menuires, a well-being week will be added to the range. This holiday will combine skiing and gentle practices such as yoga, for a unique experience of rejuvenation in the high mountains. "Two ambassadors, specialists in sophrology and naturopathy, will be accompanying this week of well-being and will be rolling out their activities in Saint-Martin throughout the year.
A village on a human scale, far from the big resorts
What makes Saint-Martin-de-Belleville so special is above all its intimate atmosphere and authenticity. Unlike some of the larger resorts, the village has managed to preserve its peace and quiet. "Saint-Martin is not a classic ski resort. It's an unspoilt village, a gentle setting with just 3,000 beds, a far cry from the 27,000 at Les Menuires". insists Marlene Giacometti. This privileged setting, conducive to relaxation and contemplation, is attracting more and more visitors looking for a different mountain experience.

Every year, the village continues to innovate, with the renovation and construction of chalets and increasingly integrated wellness areas: hammams, swimming pools and saunas are becoming essential facilities. "Taking care of ourselves is now part of the DNA of Saint-Martin. The calm, the silence, the walks and the art of living make this village the ideal place to recharge your batteries, far from the hustle and bustle of the big Alpine resorts.
