Two high altitude gems to cool off in
The lakes at Les Rousses (1,050 m) and Lamoura (1,100 m) offer perfect days out for families, with supervised swimming, a water sports centre (canoe, kayak, pedalo, single or giant paddle), games, picnic areas and waterside restaurants.
Between two dives, you can sit down for a homemade ice cream or a lunch with a view of the mountains.
The Fort, home to adventurers
New in 2025: the Commando Gamesindoor courses inspired by military training, are being set up in the Fort des Rousses.
This giant of stone, the second largest fortress in France, has become a playground for intrepids of all ages.
Add to that 200km of signposted footpaths, hikes with spectacular views of Mont Blanc, trails, horse riding, golf and escape games, and you've got a resort that's all about adventure.
A lively resort, day and night
Every Wednesday, the Ren'comtoises returns for a convivial evening combining a craft market and a concert.
On the sporting front, the resort is also buzzing with a cyclosportive, a VTC rando and biathlon and ski jumping events organised by Jura Ski Events.
On 14 and 15 August, the Abonde, a popular festival, celebrates the Jura region with 100 craftsmen, street performances and concerts.
Culture, local produce and the great outdoors
A visit to the Les Rousses ski resort also means immersing yourself in a very special area. The Fort hides a treasure trove: its Juraflore cellars, home to 190,000 wheels of Comté cheese, are open to visitors on guided tours.

A stone's throw away, the Espace des Mondes Polaires Paul-Émile Victor is transforming its skating rink into an inline-skating rink for the summer, with exhibitions and immersive workshops.
In the markets, around the bend of a hamlet, you can taste the best of the Jura: cheeses, charcuterie, honeys, Revermont wines... A gourmet break in a postcard setting.
Typical stay: 7 days in the countryside
The resort is offering a "gentle hikes" package (8 days/7 nights) from €270 for 4 people, with tours to suit all tastes: tour of the Fort, picnic at the Dappes lookout, swimming at Lac de Lamoura, waterfalls and peat bogs, caves and summits.
