The Surprising Festival
From 19 to 21 July, Méribel is hosting its brand new event: the Surprenant Festival! The concept is as simple as it is original, with the resort opting to combine art and the environment.
On the programme, participants can try their hand at live painting, hit the dance floor or take part in a concert or a night-time storytelling tour, all set in the heart of the Altiport forest. A magical atmosphere guaranteed!

On the trail of nature
There's no shortage of outdoor activities in Méribel! A veritable playground for cycling enthusiasts, the resort offers no fewer than fifty cycling-related activities, including discovery outings on electrically-assisted bikes, private outings on electric mountain bikes, courses for the very young and introductory downhill mountain biking courses.

The Salt Route and the Vanoise Pass
Situated in the Plan de Tuéda nature reserve, Méribel boasts magnificent panoramic views, perfect for a day's hiking. This is what the Guide Bureau has to offer, with its route along the Route du Sel and the Col de la Vanoise.

From the Génépi chairlift, you can reach sublime spots featuring glacial lakes and majestic views of the Grande Casse, Aiguille de la Vanoise and Grands Couloirs peaks, all under the whistle of marmots and carpets of Edelweiss.

Events not to be missed
Bank holidays
This 14 July, like everywhere else in France, Les Allues will be celebrating the bank holidays with a fireworks display at 10.30pm from Le Villaret! There will also be entertainment in the town's bars and restaurants.

Méribel Trail
Celebrating a decade! On 10 and 11 August, the Méribel Trail will be back for its tenth anniversary. With routes ranging from 2 to 5 kilometres in the heart of the 3 Vallées ski area, the trail crosses the Plan de Tuéda nature reserve, with exceptional viewpoints at an altitude of 2,800 metres.

Astronomy Festival
Attention star-lovers. On 22 and 23 August, the Astronomy Festival will be taking place, as captivating as it is iconic. Come and enjoy an immersive experience with a host of fun activities.

The Fanfoué party
Want to find out more about local traditions? Come along to the Fanfoué festival on 3 and 4 August! This annual event in the village of Les Allues will give you the chance to immerse yourself in the world of Savoyard folklore, with traditional tableaux, tasting of traditional dishes, entertainment and float parades.

How do I get to Méribel?
By car
Take the A43 motorway to Albertville and then the Route Nationale 90 to Moûtiers. Access to the resort is via the D90.
By plane
Four airports are close to Méribel: Geneva-Cointrin, Lyon-Saint-Exupéry, Grenoble and Chambéry. Méribel also has its own altiport.
By train
The nearest SNCF station to the resort is Moûtiers-Salins-Brides-les-Bains.
By bus
From Moûtiers station, an Altibus network takes you all the way to Méribel, linking all the villages.
