At Méribel-Mottaret, the existing 6-seater chairlift at Côte Brune will be replaced by a modern 10-seater gondola lift in December 2025.
This initiative is part of an investment agreement with the local authority, which manages the ski area until the end of the public service delegation in 2031, followed by a new call for tenders.

The operators, Méribel Alpina and the Société des Trois Vallées (S3V), must maintain and improve the estate, including in terms of safety.
The cost of the project is estimated at between €20 and €21 million, financed by S3V in the final phase of the current delegation.
The Côte Brune gondola lift will improve access to the pistes
The chosen manufacturer, Leitnerwill supply a modern gondola capable of carrying 2,600 people an hour, increasing capacity from the current 2,200.
The new cabins will be panoramic, a popular feature for transfers between Courchevel and the Belleville valley, especially in adverse weather conditions.

What's more, access to the gondola will be easier thanks to level boarding and a reduction in the number of pylons, which will reduce its impact on the ground.
In addition, Méribel Alpina plans to replace the Rhodos gondola lift in December 2026, one year after the planned inauguration of the new Côte Brune gondola lift in December 2025.
