On Saturday 2 December, the winter season officially kicks off in Les 2 Alpes.
The stage is set. With the white peaks, groomed pistes and ski lifts ready to go again, and the teams at Les 2 Alpes in the starting-blocks, everything is in place for a fantastic opening day in the Écrins resort.
And to kick off the new season in the best possible way, for the second year running the destination is hosting the 1er world Snowboard Cross event : FIS Snowboard Cross World Cup (1-2 December 2023).
All the greatest snowboarding champions will be gathered at 3400 m for a guaranteed show. The high-altitude area (3200 m to 3600 m) will be open for the first time on Friday 1 December to host the World Cup qualifiers and carve the first turns of the winter.
Special skipass rates
On Saturday 2 December, it's time for the final and the official launch of the 2023/2024 winter season. New this year, Les 2 Alpes will also be hosting a mixed team event on Sunday 3 December (10.40am to 11.40am).

For the occasion, special rates will be applied to skipasses. The pre-opening on Friday 1 December, limited to 1,000 places for exclusive skiing on the glacier and to attend the FIS Snowboard Cross World Cup (qualifying day), will offer a skipass for just 20 euros.
For Saturday and Sunday, the price is €38.50 for one day and €65 for two days. There is also a special rate for pedestrians: 15 euros for adults and 10 euros for children for access to the ice cream parlour.
