The Dévoluy is preparing to enter a new phase. To boost its appeal and underpin its ambition to be a dynamic mountain resort all year round, a vast project to upgrade its leisure facilities has been launched.
Over three years, La Joue du Loup and Superdévoluy will see their recreational areas completely redesigned, to offer residents and visitors a range of innovative activities adapted to the four seasons.
La Joue du Loup: innovation in aquatics and leisure activities
At La Joue du Loup, the transformation will be spectacular. The existing outdoor swimming pool will give way to a new aquatic complex integrated into the Odycéa centre.
The new facility will feature an indoor leisure pool that can be used all year round, outdoor slides to enjoy the summer weather, an outdoor wellness pool for swimming facing the mountains, and an outdoor sauna built on stilts for total immersion in nature.

On the leisure front, the resort is also banking on original concepts. In the coming seasons, the heart of La Joue du Loup will be home to a themed fun trail based around the wooden ball, combining apparatus, slides and interactive features for young and old alike.
Two new emerging activities will also be added to the range: Free-Ride Golf and Disc-Golf, accessible to all for a fun and sporting way to discover the mountains. Estimated cost of this new offering: around €350,000.
Superdévoluy: A genuine sports and leisure park
At Superdévoluy, the leisure centre is to be completely transformed into a large multi-purpose sports and leisure park. The aim is clear: to offer a wide range of modern facilities, suitable for both amateur sports enthusiasts and families.

The programme includes padel courts for racquet lovers, pumptrack for mountain bikers and draisienne enthusiasts, beach handball, soccer and sand volleyball courts, 3×3 basketball courts and a shaded area for archery and outdoor fitness classes.
The estimated cost of these improvements is €762,000. This ambitious project meets a number of major challenges for the massif: boosting its appeal to tourists all year round, promoting an active lifestyle and supporting the local economy by diversifying the activities on offer beyond the winter season.
