The Dévoluy (Southern Alps) is home to a Nordic ski area that attracts more and more winter sports enthusiasts every year. Straddling the resorts of Superdévoluy, La Joue du Loup and Col du Festre, this area is designed to offer a variety of activities, from cross-country skiing to snowshoe trekking.
The Nordic area of Dévoluy offers seventeen kilometres of cross-country ski trails, divided into several levels of difficulty. There are five green runs for beginners, five blue runs for intermediate skiers, and two red runs and one black run for the more experienced skiers.
A varied cross-country skiing offer
One of the special features of this area is its versatility. As well as cross-country skiing, there are twenty kilometres of itineraries for snowshoeing, walking, fatbike riding and Nordic ski touring.
This diversity means that different audiences can enjoy the facilities without being confined to a single activity.

The Dévoluy Nordic ski area also has a Nordic stadium, useful for beginners or more technical training, as well as a signposted white trail from Superdévoluy.
Three reception areas are located around the estate to provide information and services to visitors. These reception areas provide easy access to practical information, but visitor numbers can sometimes cause waiting times during busy periods.
Free for children under 10
Another of the resort's major selling points is its attractive pricing policy for young families. The cross-country ski pass is free for children under 10.
This encourages families to introduce their youngest children to cross-country skiing at no extra cost, which is a positive initiative for democratising this discipline, which is sometimes perceived as less accessible.

For those looking for a greater challenge, the 13km route between Superdévoluy and the Col du Festre stands out as one of the key itineraries.
It crosses the entire Nordic area, offering an interesting panorama of the varied landscapes of the Dévoluy massif, undoubtedly one of the area's major assets. Between the larch forests and the steep mountains, the scenery is ideal for a real escape into the heart of nature.
