On 5 April, Courchevel 1850 will be swapping its ski poles for amplifiers, sharpened vocal chords and hot turntables. With "Live on the Slopes", the Savoyard resort is launching a brand new festive and musical event, designed to be accessible, popular and full of sound.
A stage in the heart of the snowfront, live open-air concerts and breathtaking artistic performances: that's the promise of this first edition of Live on the Slopes, a 100 % mountain and 100 % culture event, bringing together locals, seasonal workers and holidaymakers for an extraordinary Saturday.

From 3pm, the Courchevel 1850 snow front will be transformed into an open-air festival. The programme includes no fewer than five concerts lasting until 10pm, in an electric and eclectic atmosphere. 47 TER, Naïve New Beaters, Boris Way, Elefan Tree and IMAE will be setting the stage alight with their distinctive styles, ranging from offbeat rap and supercharged pop to chill electro and indie sounds.
A complete sensory experience
But music won't be the only thing to be heard under the spatulas. The snow front will also be transformed into an open-air art gallery. A village of artists and craftspeople will be on hand to offer demonstrations of wood carving, live painting and aerial ribbon performances, a veritable acrobatic ballet suspended in the air.
Add to that a touch of futurism with the presence of an interactive robot, a laser rifle shooting stand and fun activities for families, and you've got a well-balanced festive cocktail to sip between two downhill runs or a sip of mulled wine.
Easy to access, hard to forget
Designed to be open to all, the event is designed to be as accessible as possible, with free shuttles, a cable car from Le Praz and car parks available. Everything is done to ensure that the experience begins as soon as you arrive in the resort.

Courchevel's end-of-season cultural spotlight is shining brightly, combining snow, sound and know-how for a new kind of après-ski event. And if this first edition finds its audience, it's a safe bet that it will quickly become a springtime fixture on the mountain calendar.
