Courchevel (Alpes du Nord) - The sublime Savoyard resort will open its slopes from 6 December 2024 to 21 April 2025. There's plenty for ski fans to do here, as Courchevel is part of the 3 Valleys, the largest ski area in the world, with 600 km of pistes for maximum thrills.

This year, Courchevel is inaugurating its Saulire cable car, which is getting a facelift with its new, comfortable panoramic cabins.

After three years of work, the new design features laminated glass walls. This cabin will transport skiers to an altitude of 2,710 m in just 3 minutes.

1. Icefalls
Looking for an adrenalin rush? Then why not try your hand at ice climbing, a mountain activity where you can learn how to use special equipment such as ice axes, crampons and harnesses.

Accompanied by a guide, you can climb the frozen torrents or a 16-metre artificial wall near the Altiport for added safety.

2. From snow to water
The Aquamotion aquatic centre is one of Europe's largest in the mountains, covering an area of 17,500 m2. Four worlds are available to holidaymakers: aquatics, well-being, sport-health and fun.

Popular activities include an artificial wave where you can surf, bodyboard, wakeboard and even tow a buoy! Climbing and giant slides are also on the programme. New this year are paddle yoga, Aqua paddle, Pilates and circuit training on the fitness side.

How do I get to Courchevel?
- By plane
With 4 airports less than 200 km away (Milan, Lyon, Nice and Chambéry), you can reach your holiday destination by plane in less than 2 hours 15 minutes after your flight lands.
- By train or bus
If you prefer to keep your feet on the ground, opt for the train or bus. After a few hours spent chatting, relaxing or reading, you'll arrive at Moûtiers station. From there, it's a 30-minute journey to Courchevel.
- Per car
To reach the resort by car, take the motorway and then a pretty departmental road lined with fir trees. In winter, even though there are chain-link areas on your ascent, remember to chain up in the valley, in Moûtiers, for the following reasons start the climb with confidence.
On arrival, there are 13 car parks in the 6 villages where you can park your vehicle. For more information, season tickets and preferential rates are available depending on the length of your stay.
