An icy setting, dizzying heights, extreme conditions... The resort ofIsola 2000 is about to become the setting for a new adventure game never before seen on France Télévisions. Presented by Laurent Luyat, "L'Anneau" promises to be the biggest escape game in France, an extraordinary challenge in which 13 contestants will have to survive in a setting that is as sublime as it is hostile.
With its wild, snowy setting nestling in the heart of the Mercantour massif, Isola 2000 offers an ideal playing field for a new kind of competition.
For 12 days, the participants will travel at an altitude of 2,500 metres, facing an unforgiving environment: snow, freezing cold, lack of oxygen... and maybe even a few wolves prowling around.
The concept of the game is based on "The Ring", a diabolical virtual zone in which the contestants are locked in. They are not allowed to leave, on pain of elimination.
A high-voltage adventure in the Alps
But that's not all: this mysterious ring can expand or contract, changing the rules and difficulty of the game. Some candidates will be able to control the time, others the game itself... Who will be able to survive this life-size escape game?
Although the broadcast date on France 2 has not yet been announced, filming is already underway and will last for a total of 15 days. This project is part of a wider dynamic, as it will also serve as a launch pad for the campaign for the 2030 Winter Olympics, to be held in the French Alps.
With "The RingFrance Télévisions is betting on a spectacular adventure that combines competition, challenging oneself and an exceptional natural setting. A veritable "Koh-Lanta mountain version", which should appeal to fans of thrills and adventure games.
