A celebration that represents a milestone in the relationship between the two countries. In 1968, a group of German postmen, looking for accommodation for the Olympic Games in Grenoble, discovered Briançon.
By chance, they came into contact with the manager of the local post office, who opened his doors to them. This unexpected encounter immediately created a friendship between the two towns.
Between Briançon and Rosenheim, a partnership that goes far beyond beer
Six years later, in 1974, the official twinning between Briançon and Rosenheim. The aim is to boost cultural, sporting and social exchanges between the two communities.
There will also be plenty of activities to do on site. To kick off the festivities, on 24 May, the Théâtre Du Briançonnais will be open to all from 8pm, followed by a concert by the Rosenheim Symphony Orchestra.

The following day, a covered market will open at 7pm, followed by the beer festival, with a refreshment bar available. On the menu will be authentic specialities such as Bretzel, Leberkäse and Choucroute, accompanied by a selection of beers brewed with passion.
For just €15, you can enjoy a full feast, with a complimentary pint of beer, or opt for an extra pint for just €5.
