Le Nid" climbing wall
It's impossible to go to Serre Chevalier without taking part in a climbing session, which is the "national sport" here. The Parc des Sports de Briançon has been awarded the "Centre de Préparation aux JO de Paris 2024" label for climbing. This means that since spring, delegations from all over the world have been able to come and train here.

Climbers will be keen to try out the "Le Nid" climbing wall. It's an outdoor climbing area of international difficulty that's open all year round. And what a wall it is! Inaugurated in July 2023, last summer it hosted the IFSC World Cup in difficulty. This summer, the difficulty event will be joined by the speed event for the very first time in Briançon. The rest of the year, the 80 difficulty routes (4a to 9a) and the speed wall are open to volunteers of all levels!

The "Grand Cols Tour" and reserved passes
Attention cycling fans: once again this summer, the legendary mountain passes of Alpine cycling are yours for the taking during the special "Tournée des Grands Cols" week. from 4 to 9 July 2024 !

Galibier, Granon, Izoard, Agnel and Échelle will be closed to traffic in the morning so that you can take on these giants of the Hautes-Alpes in complete safety.

Rafting
Did you know that the Serre Chevalier valley was nicknamed "the valley of the Guisane"? The Guisane is the name of the river that flows down the 27km of the valley through its villages and hamlets. It is ideal for white-water sports such as rafting.

Discovery rafting on the Haute Guisane is open to children aged 6 and over. The activity, which consists of descending stretches of river with rapids caused by strong currents and possible obstacles on board an inflatable boat called a "raft", takes place over 3 hours, two of which are spent on the water.

Events not to be missed
The Tour de France
As the start is in Italy, Briançon will be the first French town to be crossed by the Tour 2024!

Please note the 2 JulyOn the 4th Pinerolo-Valloire stage, the cyclists will cross the Franco-Italian border to descend to Briançon via the Montgenèvre pass before crossing the Serre Chevalier valley from end to end. The Lautaret and Galibier passes then await them before the descent to Valloire.

The musical A Thousand and One Nights
Experience a moment out of time with the "Tous en scène" company, who are offering a new musical comedy this summer: A Thousand and One Nights - Aladdin and the Magic Lantern.
In the exceptional setting of the Remparts de Briançon, the orchestra of musicians, actors, dancers, singers and circus performers will combine talent and humour to bring you an enchanting show. 13 performances are scheduled between the 25 July and 13 August.

Le Quinze Neuf
Many describe it as the best steakhouse in the region... Le Quinze Neuf offers hearty, gourmet cuisine based on products cooked over a wood fire.

Le Rustique

How to get to Serre Chevalier
- By car
All roads lead to Serre Chevalier Vallée Briançon! However, here are the two motorway exits within 100 kilometres of the resort, which is located in the Hautes-Alpes department in the Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur region:
- From Paris, Lyon, Turin or even Nice, via the Col du Lautaret
- From Marseille, Montpellier, take the A51 motorway via Aix en Provence, Sisteron. Exit at "La Saulce", 90 km from Serre Chevalier.

- By train
The nearest station is Briançon (less than 1 km from the start of the ski lifts). You can then take the shuttle buses to the villages. There are daily direct night trains from Paris Austerlitz and daily direct trains from Marseille, Aix-en-Provence, Gap and Romans/Valence.
Another station not far away is Grenoble 117 kilometres away. From here, you can take a bus to Serre Chevalier Vallée Briançon. And don't forget that direct TGV trains from Paris take you to Grenoble in three hours, and from Lyon in 1? hours.
- By plane
In order, the nearest airports are: Turin airport at 115 kilometres, Grenoble airport at 158 kilometres, Lyon airport at 205 kilometres, Milan airports: Malpensa at 228 kilometres and Linate at 268 kilometres, and Marseille airport at 256 kilometres.

Good to know: the ski lifts open from 29 June to 1 September at Chantemerle and from 6 July to 1 September at Prorel, Villeneuve and Monêtier. They provide access to the high altitude ski area, its hiking trails, via ferrata, activities (zip line and mountain kart), bike park, "Camp des Marmottes" children's park and high altitude restaurants.
