The Serre Chevalier valley is set to vibrate to the rhythm of the Serre Chevalier Snow Trail on 18 and 19 January. For this 8th edition, a record 600 runners are expected to take to the snowy trails of La Salle-les-Alpes.
The Serre Chevalier Snow Trail is all about diversity and accessibility. On Sunday 19 January, all participants will set off from La Salle-les-Alpes at 9am, before choosing their adventure:
- Short course (10km) 600m of ascent. An ideal loop for short-distance enthusiasts, passing through Puy de la Salle and Les Thures before descending.
- Grand Parcours (20km) 1000m ascent. A climb up to the hamlet of Les Tronchets at an altitude of 1900m, reserved for the most hardy.
On Saturday 18 January, the event kicks off with a night-time run of 8km and 300m of ascent. This unusual format, which starts at 6pm, offers a magical experience: running under the glow of headlamps and illuminated villages.

The organisers make it a point of honour to create a friendly atmosphere, which is much appreciated by the participants. The post-race meal, entirely home-cooked and organic, brings runners and spectators together to share a moment of conviviality.

"What participants particularly appreciate is the incredible atmosphere, especially during the night race, and the possibility of choosing their route on Sunday according to their fitness level. The warm family atmosphere is the DNA of this event.explains the organisation.
