For its 3rd edition, the Manouche jazz festival promises to get the Haute Tarentaise swinging."},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>From 23 to 28 August, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hautetarentaise.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Haute Tarentaise <\/a>dedicates a whole week to Manouche jazz for the third edition of its festival. This year, the event invites spectators to travel to Eastern Europe with the Barcelona Gipsy Balkan Orchestra (BGKO), the headliner for four concert evenings.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With over a decade of artistic commitment and performances in more than thirty countries, the BGKO remains true to its passion for the traditional music of the Balkans, Eastern Europe, the Mediterranean, and the Middle East. This promises vibrant and exotic evenings, in the heart of the valley's villages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Six dates, five communes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The kick-off will be on August 23rd in Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise, on Place Fleurina, in a gypsy and French-flavoured atmosphere. It is singer Tatiana Eva-Marie who opens the festivities with \u00abDjango's Tiger\u00bb, led by her quartet Echoes of Django and Daniel Garlitsky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Also featuring the Barcelona Gipsy Balkan Orchestra, who will be touring the region for four nights. On August 25th, the group will perform at the Val d\u2019Is\u00e8re green amphitheatre, before heading to Bourg-Saint-Maurice on the 26th, at Place Marcel Gaimard.
