Savoyard station located in the heart of the Tarentaise, La Plagne<\/a> It launches its 2026 summer season from late June to early September with an expanded offering. Between new outdoor activities, major sporting events, and well-being-focused proposals, the destination confirms its ambition to establish itself as a complete playground in the summer. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the snow melts, the resort changes pace without losing its identity. The ski lifts open onto the alpine pastures, while hiking trails and mountain bike routes take over. Summer now represents an increasing share of activity, with over 737,000 overnight stays recorded between June and September last season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New features focused on experience<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This year, La Plagne is focusing on more immersive activities, often on a smaller scale. On the Soleil side, one day combines hiking and the gathering of local plants before transforming them into liqueur at an artisanal distillery. The principle is simple: set off in the morning with a guide, gather your ingredients, and then create your own product in the afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another suggestion is alpaca walks around Montalbert and Montchavin. Led on accessible routes, they last around 1 hour 30 minutes and are aimed at families.<\/p>\n\n\n

The resort also offers a structured wellness programme. Five-day yoga retreats, combining Hatha, Yin or aerial yoga, are available at altitude with accommodation and activities included. Some formats even incorporate hybrid practices such as HomeBoard, a balance board inspired by surfing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a more sporting vein, the 6000D is adding a new course, the 6D Cr\u00eates, a 21-kilometre race along ridge lines reaching over 2,500 metres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A season punctuated by major events<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The summer is organised around well-defined events. In early July, the International Chess Festival sets up in Belle Plagne with an announced prize fund of 30,000 euros and the presence of international players.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The same month, the Super8 brings together mountain biking and electric-assist mountain biking enthusiasts around several race formats. The event remains marked by the presence of J\u00e9r\u00f4me Gilloux, four-time world champion in the discipline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
