On the heights of Val Thorens, A number of downhill mountain bike trails have been added. Three new trails have been added to the existing area, accessible from the 2 Lacs gondola. One green, one blue and one red track have been added, with different profiles to suit different levels of rider.

A slopestyle area has also been created in the centre of the resort. With evolving modules and progressive lines, the area allows riders to train in a safe environment. On site, the teams describe the layout as being designed to support progression, without reserving the facilities for experienced riders only.
