In summer and winter alike, the resort stands out for its unique range of mountain sports, where altitude and innovation combine to appeal to families, amateurs and top-level athletes alike.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\"People often say that Tignes is the sportiest resort, and it's true to some extent\".<\/em> smiles Fabrice Maleville, Sports Director at Tignes par excellence\".<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Local history has a lot to do with it: in the past, holidaymakers would go up to the Grande Motte glacier first thing in the morning to ski, before looking for a complementary activity in the afternoon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Facilities to suit all tastes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This dynamic has given rise to a range of sports facilities that is far from running out of steam, <a href=\"https:\/\/petit-montagnard.fr\/en\/we-broke-a-new-visitor-record-this-winter-frederic-portrays-tignes-in-the-petit-montagnard\/\">has grown stronger over the years<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In summer, the My Tignes card gives you access to <a href=\"https:\/\/petit-montagnard.fr\/en\/tignes-5-new-things-to-try-this-summer-under-the-sun\/\">a wide range of activities<\/a>These include a water sports centre on a natural lake at an altitude of over 2,000 m (canoeing, kayaking, slides and water jumps), an adventure course and zip lines, tennis courts and football pitches, and an 18-hole golf course nicknamed \"le golf des marmottes\". <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" electric mountain bike tours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The facilities are also home to major teams and top-level sportsmen and women. <em>\"Every summer, we welcome professional clubs, national teams, cyclists, French teams...\".<\/em> stresses Fabrice Maleville. <em>\"It contributes to the reputation of Tignes, and is also a source of pride for the local people.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Two padel courts planned <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>After <a href=\"https:\/\/petit-montagnard.fr\/en\/spectacular-equipment-whats-the-big-news-coming-to-tignes-this-summer\/\">the recent opening of Aventure Parc<\/a> and a new skatepark, this year the resort is preparing to add two padel courts in the Tignes-le-Lac sector. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\"It's an activity that's growing everywhere, and Tignes had to be part of it.<\/em> Another change is the development of a winter Adventure Park, to offer a fun and sporting counterpart even in the cold season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure Tignes)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>These efforts are also reflected in events with a strong identity, such as Mountain Shaker \u00c9t\u00e9, the summer version of the winter freestyle event, and the Tignes Trail, which attracts a huge number of participants every year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A new disabled sports event in 2027 <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>And by 2027, the resort will be hosting a major event: the Para-Alpine Skiing World Championships, confirming its historic commitment to sport for all and to disabled sport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image
