On 26 and 27 July, the traditional F\u00eate de la Madelon will set the heart of this Savoyard hamlet beating with its heritage, music and conviviality.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Celebrated since the Middle Ages in honour of Saint Mary Magdalene, the village's patron saint, the Madelon has become a highlight of local life over the centuries. Here are three mountain farms to discover this summer<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>After falling into disuse, the festival was relaunched by the association La Route des Tommes, determined to perpetuate this heritage event. Even today, it brings back to life the gestures, costumes and atmosphere of village festivals of yesteryear, in a unique setting: the cobbled streets of Le Praz and the peaceful shores of its lake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Soup, a symbol of sharing<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>At the heart of the event is a ritual that has brought the locals together for generations: the soup kitchen. Prepared the day before in a huge 600-litre cauldron and stirred by hand in front of the chapel, it simmers for a long time before being served in loaves of bread. Accordions, alphorns and festive groups accompany visitors throughout the evening.
