It's an event that whitewater sports fans won't want to miss. From 21 to 27 July 2025, the city of Bourg Saint Maurice<\/a> hosts a week of national slalom and kayak-cross canoeing and kayaking competitions, in the heart of a breathtaking Alpine setting.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the mountainside, on the tumultuous banks of the Haute-Is\u00e8re, the Claude-Peschier international pool is considered to be one of the most technical and demanding in the world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Set in an unspoilt natural setting, this legendary course has been attracting French champions for decades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over seven days, more than 650 athletes from clubs all over France will be competing in two spectacular disciplines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Slalom and kayak-cross highlights <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The slalom, a great classic of canoe-kayak, where competitors have to pass through 18 to 25 gates in the right direction - downstream for the green ones, against the current for the red ones - on a 400-metre timed course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And kayak-cross, an explosive and tactical event that has now become an Olympic event, where four paddlers set off simultaneously from a ramp, for a descent strewn with pitfalls, involving contact, strategy and total commitment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The events will be open to all youth categories: U15, U18, U23, as well as tandem canoeing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the competitions are sure to delight enthusiasts, the entertainment on offer throughout the event will also make the week a real popular celebration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2192 Opening ceremony on the Place de la Mairie: parade of clubs in a festive atmosphere, in the heart of Bourg Saint Maurice town centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thursday 24 July <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2192 8.45am - 11.45am<\/strong> Women's and men's kayak finals
\u2192 11.45 a.m. - 11.55 a.m.<\/strong> Exclusive demonstration by Paris 2024 Olympic medallists
\u2192 2.00 pm - 4.00 pm<\/strong> Women's and men's single canoe finals
\u2192 6.00 pm - 6.30 pm<\/strong> Official presentation of the French U18 and U23 Slalom 2025 teams, Place de la Mairie
