In the heart of the 3 Valleys, where the forests open out onto infinite horizons, M\u00e9ribel<\/a> is home to an unsuspected treasure. The Plan de Tu\u00e9da nature reserve, a jewel box of biodiversity nestling between the lake of the same name and the G\u00e9broulaz glacier, is much more than a protected site: it's a permanent invitation to marvel.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Created in 1990, this unspoilt oasis extends over 1,100 hectares of varied landscape, home to 545 plant species and almost 400 animal species. Here, black grouse meet the discreet flight of spotted nutcrackers, while alpine newts, viviparous lizards, rare butterflies and cordula dragonflies live to the rhythm of the seasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But more than a catalogue of species, Tu\u00e9da is a total sensory experience. In summer, the meadows light up with wild flowers and the stone pines whisper in the warm breeze. In autumn, the forest blazes with hues worthy of Canada. In winter, the whiteness of the frozen expanses invites silent contemplation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Maison de la R\u00e9serve: a gateway to the invisible<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The starting point for many walks, the Maison de la R\u00e9serve on the shores of the lake is much more than just a visitor centre. It is a living showcase for this natural world. On its terrace, the light plays with the reflections of the water. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
