Gravel, mountain biking, raids, cyclosportives: the destination is multiplying the formats, routes and events to appeal to two-wheeled enthusiasts. Here's a round-up of the major new events to be discovered this summer.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A new gravel route to explore the high plateaux<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It's one of the summer's major new features: the Tour du D\u00e9voluy gravel route is now officially signposted and available online. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>READ MORE:<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/petit-montagnard.fr\/en\/everything-you-need-to-know-about-the-major-redevelopment-of-the-la-joue-du-loup-and-superdevoluy-leisure-centres\/\"><strong> <\/strong>Everything you need to know about the major redevelopment of the La Joue du Loup and Superd\u00e9voluy leisure centres<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">46km in length and 1,200m in positive gradient, it combines 24km of tracks and 22km of secondary roads, in a demanding route classified red by the French Cycling Federation. A beautiful, wild loop through the varied landscapes of the Massif.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">L'\u00c9terlou goes into raid mode for its 17th edition<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An emblematic event at the start of the summer, L'\u00c9terlou returns on 5 and 6 July 2025, with a major new feature: a timed raid format, to be completed in one or two days. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the programme: 98km, 3,900m D+ and 4,600m D-, in technical and grandiose terrain. This challenge complements the more accessible Sunday rides, which attract almost 1,000 mountain bikers every year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A joint trophy with the Ultra Raid de la Meije<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another innovation: L'\u00c9terlou is teaming up with the Ultra Raid de la Meije to create a 100 % Hautes-Alpes trophy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>READ MORE: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/petit-montagnard.fr\/en\/le-devoluy-a-sensational-new-activity-is-coming-this-summer\/\">D\u00e9voluy: a sensational new activity is coming this summer<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The best times accumulated over the two raids will give rise to a final ranking, to be announced on 14 September 2025 at the Meije. It's a great way to showcase the achievements of mountain bikers in two of the region's major events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Two new technical mountain bike routes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two new mountain bike routes have been added to the D\u00e9voluy range, offering 16 FFC-approved circuits covering 306km of waymarked trails.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Col de Rabou<\/strong> 17 km - 715 m D+ - black grading (or red for VTTAE)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pied de Faraut<\/strong> 24 km - 910 m D+ - black grading (or red for VTTAE)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These routes are aimed at experienced mountain bikers, with uphill profiles on gravel tracks and fun single descents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The 10 days of cycling: a rich and accessible programme<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From 29 June to 9 July, D\u00e9voluy is launching its 10 Days of Cycling, a packed programme of events for all ages and abilities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>29 June<\/strong> : <em>Altitude 1664<\/em>cyclosportive around the Faraut massif<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>30 June<\/strong> : <em>Classic R\u00e9gion Sud U19<\/em>a cycling race dedicated to young talent in the PACA region<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>2 July<\/strong> : <em>Mountain biking galore!<\/em> activities and introductory courses at the Superd\u00e9voluy leisure centre<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>5 and 6 July<\/strong> : <em>Raid &amp; Rando VTT L'\u00c9terlou<\/em> and opening of the Bike Park<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>8th July<\/strong> : <em>Family Mountain Bike Challenge<\/em> at La Joue du Loup<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>9th July<\/strong> : <em>Family Mountain Bike Challenge<\/em> in Superd\u00e9voluy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>D\u00e9voluy, in the mountains between Dr\u00f4me and Hautes-Alpes, is increasingly becoming a cycling destination.
